Ogun State, situated in the southwestern region of Nigeria was founded on February 3, 1976, from the former Western State.
This state boasts various landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. Ogun State shares its borders with several neighboring states and even a neighboring country.
Like Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and the Republic of Benin. Abeokuta, both the capital and the most populous city, is the heart of Ogun State.
